8 DAYS FLYING PACKAGE TO AMBOSELI, SAMBURU AND MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Wildlife galore and breathtaking scenery and Mount Kilimanjaro at the backdrop of elephants of Amboseli is but one facet of this safari – this safari offers you the sights and sounds of a refreshing Africa which brings out the excitement and fascination that makes this continent come ALIVE!

 The feeling here is unhurried and you’ll have the days to explore the vast park and perhaps visit a Samburu village, home to the indigenous people who are closely related to the Maasai.

And if you’re here during the months from July to October, you’ll also be treated to an explosive movement of wildlife called the Great Migration. 

Day 1: Nairobi (Wilson Airport) – Amboseli nnp

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by our driver guide and transfer to Wilson Airport for a flight to Amboseli National Park (Air Kenya Airlines) departing Wilson airport at 07:30hrs, arriving at Amboseli airstrip at 08:05hrs, met at the airstrip by the driver/guide who will transfer you en-route game drive to the Lodge for check-in and lunch.

Afternoon game drive in the park. (Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest – whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. It is quite an experience to see Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early morning. The animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its huge elephant herds. You will also see buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and other plain animals in their native juggle residence.  Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge / Oltukai Lodge / Similar.

 

Day 2: Full day in Amboseli National Park

Early morning game drive in 4×4 lodge vehicle(s) before breakfast, here we are expecting to see the big cats and large herds of wild elephants which are mostly. Return to the lodge for breakfast or a Morning game drive for those who wish starts at 10:00hrs till midday. An afternoon game drive follows and thereafter dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge / Oltukai Lodge / Similar

 

Day 3: Flight from Amboseli to Samburu National Reserve Via Nairobi

After breakfast, transfer to Amboseli airstrip for your flight to Samburu National Reserve via Wilson Airport in Nairobi departing at 08:20hrs and arriving at Wilson Airport at 09:00 hrs. Then transfer to the flight departing Wilson for Samburu at 09:15 hrs / 11:00 hrs arriving at Samburu airstrip at 10:30 hrs / 12:30 hrs, to be met by your driver /guide En-route game drive to the camp.

Day 4: Full day in Samburu National Reserve

Early breakfast at the Lodge. The Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ny’iro River, on the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve in Northern Kenya. It is 350 kilometres away from Nairobi and ranges in altitude from 800 to 1230m above sea level. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). You will have an excellent chance of seeing lion, leopard, cheetah, and elephant. Spectacular rocky outcrops, wonderful Domas palms and the shaded Ewaso Nyiro River, the life source for the Samburu reserve, make this reserve scenic.

Day 5: Flight from Samburu to Maasai Mara

After breakfast, transfer to Samburu airstrip for a flight to Masai Mara, departing Samburu at 08:30hrs Maasai Mara at 10:15hrs, to be met by the Lodge driver/guide who will transfer you with en-route game drive to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive follows later, and dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge 

 

Day 6: Full day in Maasai Mara
2 game drives per day, an early morning game drive before breakfast from 06:00hrs to 08:30hrs and the other one from 15:30hrs to 18:30hrs.

Day 7: Full day in Maasai Mara
2 game drives per day, an early morning game drive before breakfast from 06:00hrs to 08:30hrs and the other one from 15:30hrs to 18:30hrs.
Renowned for its magnificent Big Cat population that hunt the wildebeest, zebra and other plains game that dominate the Mara, it has even been nicknamed the Kingdom of the Lions. Finding a pride of lions (there are some 400 lions’ resident in the reserve and neighboring conservancies) is normally relatively easy – and high on most visitors’ must-see lists.

Leopards are also seen increasingly often, and good sightings of cheetahs can be expected. Other predators regular seen throughout the reserve and conservancies include fascinating spotted hyenas (rarely bothered by human observers and compelling in their social interactions) black-backed and side-striped jackals, and cute pairs of bat-eared foxes. With luck, you may also see a Serval – a lanky, striped and spotted cat of tall grass and bush, adept at catching small mammals and birds.

Day 8: Flight from Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of the camp and transfer to Mara Airstrip for your flight to Wilson Airport, to be met by your driver/guide who will transfer you to Carnivore Restaurant/a city restaurant for lunch and after lunch transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for a flight to the next destination or transfer to a city hotel for overnight.

Low Season: April - June

· Bookings cancelled 45 days prior to the excursion will not be charged for.

· Bookings cancelled 30 to 45 days prior to the excursion will be charged 25%

· Bookings cancelled 20 to 30 days prior to the excursion will be charged 50%

· Bookings cancelled below 20 days prior to the excursion will be charged 100%
