The great wildebeest Migration safari is one of our most popular wonders of the world takes place during the Annual Great Migration of wildebeest (July to November) in the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI

Arrival in Nairobi can take place any time of the day depending on your international flight. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative from Heritage of African jungles Safaris and thereafter transferred to The Weston Hotel for an overnight stay. If you would like to change money, we recommend doing so while still at the airport. If you arrive early enough you can opt for optional activities in Nairobi; Giraffe Centre, Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage, or dinner at carnivore restaurant at your own costs

DAY 02: NAIROBI | MASAI MARA (260KMS 6-7HRS)

After Breakfast at your hotel, check-out at 7:30 am as we depart for Masai Mara after a short safari briefing. You will be driven along the breathtaking Great Rift Valley (with a short stop at the viewpoint for photographic opportunities) to arrive at approximately 1300 hrs. Check-in and proceed for lunch.
At approximately 1530 hrs, depart for evening game drives in search of the big five and plains game. Return for dinner and overnight at Keekorok lodge

DAY 03 & 04: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

After breakfast, you will leave for a full-day game drive in Maasai Mara National Park. This is home to over 3 million large mammals. Our experienced tour guide/ driver will take you in search of the famous Big 5 among other animals: Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Hyena, Cheetah, Jackal, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope wildebeest, and various bird species. Picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you watch the pool of hippos. Try your luck at Mara River for any unexpected wildebeest crossing. The annual wildebeest’s migration, involving over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November, is a phenomenal spectacle that can only be seen in the Maasai Mara. Most visitors will have the opportunity to spot one of the Big 5—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Optional activities:

Nature walks USD 30 per person

Our naturalist will take you to the camp compound. He will give you detailed information on plants, birds and other small animals. This takes about 1.5 hours. An extended nature walk going to the Mara River, which takes about 2.5 hours, is also available.» Duration: approx.1.5-2.5hours, starting at 10:00AM

Maasai village visit: US$ 20 per person

You can visit a Maasai village to see their traditional life. Photography is NOT prohibited here. A Maasai guide at the village will escort and explain to you in English about their lives. It takes about 2 hours including the return transfers by us. Duration: approx.2hours, starting at 10:00 AM

A Maasai lady will give you a lecture on how to make a beaded bracelet at our library. It will be one of your souvenirs once completed. The lecture takes about 3 hours.

Hot air balloon safari US$ 420 per person
Early morning balloon safari you drift above the browsing game and have tremendous opportunities for unusual photographs. What could be more uplifting than an early morning safari in a hot air balloon flying over vast plains of Africa? Witness an African sunrise as a plethora of wildlife roams the land beneath you. At the end of the flight you land on the plains in the midst of this enchanting Savannah champagne, breakfast is laid out with the aroma of sausages, eggs, and bacon sizzling over a charcoal fire.
