5 DAYS WATAMU-TSAVO - TAITA HILLS PRIVATE SANTUARY - AMBOSELI - NAIROBI
Your safari begins at
the sprawling red-dusted plains of Tsavo East national park where
we’ll be tracking the large game of this rugged environment. Amboseli
National Park is a haven for free-ranging elephants and other wildlife,
framed by Africa’s tallest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
We’ll view endangered
black and white rhinos at the specially protected sanctuary in Lake Nakuru
national park and follow the trails, looking for the Big Five. When not
tracking lions, we’ll take a break at the lake for the awesome birdlife here,
including bright fuchsia flamingos. Then we’ll round out our safari at the most
popular wildlife park in Kenya, the greatest Masai Mara national reserve,
where thousands of animals move over this exceptional place.

way. Arrive at your lodge for Lunch, afternoon game drive, returning back to
the lodge for dinner and overnight. Characterized by semiarid grasslands and
savannah where wildlife species can be seen, Tsavo East national park boasts as
the home of the man eaters lions which came to be known as above when two mane
less lions attacked construction workers during the construction of the railway
passing through the national park. These lions are among the attractions that
tourists visiting this national park are interested in seeing as they explore

After breakfast, enroute game drive in Tsavo East
as we head to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private game reserve located at
the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro on the eastern edge of the southern Tsavo West
National Park. Here you can still admire the up to 2200m high range of the Taita
Hills covered with rain/mist forests while on safari. The landscape is characterized
by savannah with bushes and rock formations. Saltlick safari Lodge is one of our favorites among the lodges around
Tsavo National Park. The unusual design stands out from afar, as the entire
lodge is on stilts and connected by wooden bridges, allowing you to watch the
nearby waterhole from the entire hotel complex. Here we have been able to
observe so many animals, especially elephants and zebras, even very close to
the water ditch right next to the lodge. A unique experience! In
the afternoon we go on another game drive in search of elephants, buffalos,
zebras, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards and many birds. Dinner and
overnight at the lodge.

Your guide may bring you by some of the park’s better-known watering holes, where you’ll witness the animals on an early morning sojourn. We set out and off to Tsavo west national park , one of its kind among the wildlife viewing destinations to see the various wildlife species which includes rhinos, hippos, elephants, buffalos, leopards, lions, hartebeests, impalas, elands, fringe eyed oryx, giraffes, kudu among others. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. Visit Mzima springs which is known to have clear water where hippos and crocodiles laze. The springs are a source of water for the wildlife species which graze around the savannah plains. The trees which surround the springs are home to vervet monkeys which feed on the fruits from the date trees, raffia palms, waterberrys and figs. A variety of bird species can also be seen in the trees around the Mzima springs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
