4 DAYS SAFARI FROM DIANI OR MOMBASA
An excellent opportunity to combine a visit to
Kenya's largest park, Tsavo with Amboseli. Amboseli enjoys a spectacular
backdrop - snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. Tsavo West
with a visit to Mzima Springs and an observation glass tank which you can see
fishes, crocodiles, and hippos and Tsavo East, home of the red elephants.
DAY 1: DIANI-TAITA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Pick up from your Diani beach resort or residence at 0600
hrs. Drive through Coconut, Cashewnut and Bixa farm in an hour's scenic journey
to join the Mombasa –Nairobi road. Proceed via Voi town to taita wildlife
sanctuary. The Taita Hills Wildlife
Conservancy derives its name from the surrounding clusters of hills and is an
integral part of the Eastern Arc forests classified as a biodiversity hotspot.
The conservancy covers an area of 28,000 acres of mosaic habitat where the
plant physiognomy is riverine forest, savanna wood and grassland. The
vegetation formation is usually dense, stratified and always dominated by
Acacia / Commiphora trees and may appear to be evergreen in wet areas such as
in the central lowlands of the sanctuary.
The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National
Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife
between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park and making it a
highly valued tourism recreational area and of ecological importance. The
topography is generally mountainous that offers breathtaking landscape views of
the Kilimanjaro, Pare, Uluguru Mountains and the clusters of Taita Hills with a
seasonal river dividing the sanctuary into valleys and lowland plains
Mid-morning Game drive enroute to the lodge. Later enjoy
excellent views and photographic opportunities from the lodge lobby / terraces
areas as you have your meals. Visit the underground tunnel and bunker with
ground level windows that provides unbelievably close, yet safe access to
variety of animals as they frequent the water hole for water & salt

DAY 2: TAITA SALTLICK – AMBOSELI
We shall be up before sunrise for an early bird game drive.
The splendor of an African sunrise that engulfs the savanna shall be
experienced as we traverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and
hunters.
Breakfast will be followed by a checkout and head out to
Amboseli national park.
The appearance of Mount Kilimanjaro will serve as a welcome relief.
Arrival at the lodge in time for lunch. There shall be moments of relaxation
before resuming your afternoon game drive at 1600 hrs.
Amboseli national park is relatively small but rich in
wildlife. Wildlife roam free with and of interest is the existence of largest
population of Elephants often seen grazing. Other wildlife includes Lion,
Leopard, Buffalo, Hyena, Cheetah and many more are also found here. Return
to your Lodge/ Luxury Camp for dinner and overnight

DAY 3: AMBOSELI - TSAVO
EAST
Optional early morning games drive before breakfast. There after depart Amboseli national park with an en-route game viewing. Drive to Tsavo east national park entering through the Manyani gate. Tsavo national parks are Kenya's oldesr national parks. It is home to the largest Elephant heards in the country , as well as large prides of lions. The region was made famous due to the Man- eaters of Tsavo, where two lions that killed around 130 people during the construction of the railway in 1898. The two parks makes up the biggest national park in Kenya at just less than 22000 SQ Km. It is a vast park and guests. The experienced safari guides are familiar with the movements and season migration paths and times of Tsavo's wildlife. Some of the Tsavo East's popular attractions are Midanda Rock, Yatta Plateau, and Luggards Falls. Highlights of the Tsavo west includes walking safaris during which you will explore the chaimu volcanic crater. The underground viewing hide which allows you to get a different perspective on Hippos and crocodiles from the underwater at the Mzima springs, see the Shetani flow where a volcano errupted and created a river of magma that has hardened. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: TSAVO
EAST –DIANI
Our day shall start with an early morning game viewing. After breakfast we shall leave and drive back to Diani with more wildlife viewing en-route to exit. Proceed back to Diani beach arriving in the afternoon where the safari ends.
