Day 1

Nairobi / Lake Nakuru

Pick up at the airport or hotel, and drive to Lake Nakuru national park to arrive for lunch and afternoon game drive to enjoy the sight of pelicans bathing in the fresh water streams which terminate in the lake. Since there is no existing drainage, Lake Nakuru is alkaline, the perfect place for flamingos to feed on the blue-green algae. The greater flamingo attains a height of about 4.26 feet its plumage is almost white with a pale pink, black tipped beak. It is the lesser flamingo that has the more exotic color. About 2.72 ft. in height, with a rosy plumage and dark red, black tipped beak. Lake Nakuru National Park has a great variety of bird life which includes the Egyptian goose and a variety of ducks that come from Europe to winter. This park is truly a bird watchers paradise. The game animals include hippo, waterbuck, gazelles, Colobus monkeys, buffalo, leopard and the Rothschild giraffe. The park is also a sanctuary for the white rhino. Day 2

Lake Nakuru / masai mara

After breakfast, drive to masai mara game reserve to arrive for lunch and afternoon game drive which offers wonderful scenery and plenty of wild game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where a visitor may see animals in the same super abundance as existed a century ago. Explore this part of the Northern Serengeti Ecosystem where the great wildebeest migration takes place. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard, and territorial fights are commonplace. The migration, now declared the Seventh Wonder of the World takes place from end July to September. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Masai mara

After breakfast, full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic Savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close range viewing and photography. You will have a break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons Masai mara has greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. From July to October, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and Zebras, predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions closely follow these herds. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard, and territorial fights are commonplace. Soak in the abundance of untamed wilderness, fresh and natural scenery, filled with exotic wildlife during our expertly guided game drives enjoyed in open vehicles.

Day 4

Masai mara

After breakfast, another full day of game viewing with picnic lunch. Africa has a long history of capturing the imagination of travelers, a continent of dramatic contrasts that gives you an unforgettable and remarkable experience whether it’s in an amazement of watching thousands of wild beasts struggling across a rushing river that is littered with crocodiles waiting for their prey, makes the world’s premier wildlife spectacle. Afternoon is spent on a game drive in search of the black manned lions which the park is famous. Lion making a kill can be witnessed in the late afternoon or a leopard in a tree enjoying the meal he has dragged up to avoid disturbance and detection. The ‘big five’ are positively represented here. The large predators are the lion, leopard and cheetah. The smaller predators are the hyena and jackal. The large herbivores are the elephant, rhino, Burchells zebra, hippo, buffalo and giraffe. Dinner and Overnight at the camp.

Day 5

Masai mara / Isbania / Serengeti

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti national park via Isbania border, where you will be met by Tanzanian guide. The best of East Africa’s game can be seen in the park, and with its high number of resident carnivores, the opportunity to find lion, cheetah and leopard is unparalleled, that combine with over two million wild beast, mankind their journey every year to the Maasai mara less than a kilometer from the lodge makes an encounter. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat. Proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Serengeti

After breakfast, Proceed on a full day game drives in the Serengeti with picnic lunch or rather morning and afternoon game drive and leisure break at the lodge. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between Mara and Serengeti. Serengeti National park is a arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo, Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelopes, baboons, and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7

Serengeti / Ngorongoro

Early morning game drive offers you the best chance to capture early morning kills from the big 5. After exploring the park early morning head back for the main breakfast and then after the breakfast depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Lunch will also be served at the Olduvai Gorge as you get the lecture of the evolution theory. There after proceed to Ngorongoro arriving late afternoon where you will spend the next few hours on the rim of the crater. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro sopa lodge.

Day 8

Ngorongoro / Arusha

After breakfast descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day’s safari tour. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, after lunch proceeds for another afternoon game drive when you will ascend from the crater and proceed to Arusha town for overnight or transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
